"I was experimenting with running a Korg Kaossilator through a Korg Monotron (using the Monotron as a filter/effect), and this was the serendipitous result of one of my attempts to record the results. It's a one-take recording with minimal need for further processing. It was so evocative of an African musical style that I titled it Uchezaji which is Swahili for (in one sense) experimentation, but more literally for messing around or fooling around."
